PM Barzani applauds private sector role in developing Kurdistan
Kurdish Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani hailed the role of the private sector in developing the Kurdistan Region amid the tough economic crisis that has plagued the region as well as the fight against ISIS that further strained the government's limited resources. Speaking at the opening ceremony of a major highway around the city of Erbil, Barzani said, 'This project was carried out at a time when our country was passing through a tough financial crunch.”
