Iraqi Oil Ministry contracts with Anton and Petrofac to operate the Majnoon oil field

Iraq’s oil ministry has signed a two-year contract with Anton Oilfield Services and Petrofac to operate the giant Majnoon oil field, two executives said on Thursday. According to Reuters, the two companies are scheduled to operate the field in the south of the country on behalf of the Iraqi oil company Basra, which receives the management of operations there from Royal Dutch Shell.
