German Development Minister visits Iraq to promote refugee return program
German Development Minister Gerd Müller traveled to Iraq on Saturday to secure close cooperation with the Iraqi government on a voluntary refugee return initiative. Announced in late March, the program would provide up to €350 mn ($432 mn) to finance projects that would make it more attractive for refugees to return voluntarily by providing work and job-training programs, according to German newspaper.
