Iraqi supreme federal court rejects request to annul election results
The Iraqi Supreme Federal Court on Sunday rejected a request by a number of political parties to annul the results of the elections over allegations of voter fraud. The spokesman for the Federal Court, Eyas Samok, said the Iraqi Judicial Council met and discussed the complaints presented to the court in order to decide in opposition of the election results. The Iraqi Supreme Federal Court has come to a decision not to proceed and take any side in the case and ordered the High Electoral Commission (IHEC) to decide on the case, according to Samok.
