Iraqi iron and steel factory to start in 2020
Iraqi industry ministry sources reported that the production of the iron and steel factory will start at the beginning of 2020. The factory was regarded the biggest one in the Middle East with a production capacity of 500,000 tons annually. The Iraqi Iron and Steel Company was established at the beginning of 1970s, but completely stopped after 2003. The factory was bombed by the US forces in 1990s.
