KDP and PUK Reach Agreement on Formation of New Government
The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) reached a final agreement on the formation of the new government, an official confirmed on Wednesday. The PUK faction at the parliament said it will attend today’s session which is to discuss an amendment to Kurdistan Region Presidency Law. The amendment is aimed to reactivate the presidency, elect the new president at the parliament, and lay the ground for the formation of the new government.
