Kurdistan Parliament Delegation to Visit Baghdad, Discuss Disputed Areas
A delegation for Kurdistan Region’s parliamentary committee for the Kurdish areas outside the jurisdiction of the KRG is preparing to visit Baghdad soon where they will discuss the deteriorating situation across the contested Kurdish territories. The parliamentary committee in Kurdistan Region held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the challenges. It is now planning field visits to Makhmour, Sinjar, and Nineveh Plains to prepare a comprehensive report on the security situation across these areas. The committee will later visit Baghdad to submit the report to the Iraqi parliament and relevant authorities at the federal government of Iraq.
