US to Work with Iraq on Troops Deployment: Pompeo
The United States will start working with Iraqi leaders "to get to the right place" on US troops deployment in the country, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed on Monday. Pompeo's remarks came a few days after the Iraqi Parliament passed a resolution to oust the US and other foreign troops from the country, with caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi calling on Washington to send a delegation to discuss the matter, a request which was later rejected by the US.
