Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, chairs an emergency meeting of the National Security Council
The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi chaired on Tuesday, an emergency meeting of the National Security Council, which was devoted to discussing the general situation and developments of security events in the country. During the meeting, they discussed the repeated rocket attacks on the Green Zone and Baghdad International Airport, where the Council affirmed its full condemnation of those attacks that threaten the national security and the national interests of the country and offend Iraq’s position internationally. The Council also discussed the issue of protecting peaceful demonstrations in Baghdad and the provinces, and the professional treatment of the security services, in a manner that preserves the peaceful demonstrations.
