Kuwait stresses necessity for Iraq to join GCC
A Kuwaiti media delegation including ministers and MPs stressed the necessity for Iraq to join the Gulf Cooperation Council and start working on the Silk Road to better serve mutual interests and economic development in the region. Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki underlined the importance of developing relations in all fields between Iraq and Kuwait especially on the economic level while renewing calls for Kuwaiti firms to invest in Iraq.
