Iraq's 2015 budget based on oil price of $56 per barrel -minister
Iraq's 2015 budget is based on an oil price of $56 per barrel, and the country is considering asking for emergency funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to ease its budget woes, Iraqi Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari said on Wednesday. "We haven't made a decision but I think the IMF is willing to provide that support, but they need the government to do more cuts on public spending," said Zebari, speaking to a small group of reporters in Washington.
