Biden speaks with Barzani, reaffirms U.S. support for Peshmerga
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden reaffirmed the continued U.S. support for Iraqi and Peshmerga forces in defeating ISIS militants. “U.S. government will continue to support the Iraqi and Kurdish Region forces in their collective effort to rid the region of the terrorists of the ISIS,” the Kurdistan Region’s Presidency (KRP)’s statement said, citing the U.S. vice president.
