US has invested +$172 million in Iraq since 2012
In a joint press conference between Iraq's Minister of Planning, Mohammad Ali Tamim, and the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina L. Romanowski, Tamim, expressed Iraq's willingness to bolster its partnership with the United States in a bid to meet sustainable development goals and lay the foundations of good governance. As Ambassador Romanowski explained that "Since 2012, USAID has invested more than $172 mn in Iraq''.
