Maliki, Allawi, describe their meetings as “positive”
Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and former Prime Minister and Leader of al-Iraqiya Bloc, Iyad Allawi, have announced an agreement to continue their meetings. The two reiterated that their meeting at the headquarters of member of National Alliance and former PM, Ibrahim al-Jaafari in Baghdad on Tuesday had been “postive and fruitful,” having concentrated on the main principles of building a new Iraqi state, capable of protect the country’s interests and opening up towards the world.
